I'm happy to present to you the result of several weeks of work. I was tasked with reimagining a family crest in a completely new light. Together with the client, we decided to add a personalized touch by including his surname on either side. The top of the magnificent, golden crest has been adorned using the Italian technique of glass micro-mosaic. The material used for the jewelry mosaic is the highest quality mosaic glass, known as smalta, currently produced only in two workshops in Venice. Micro-mosaic is an 18th-century, one of the noble decorative techniques that is gradually fading. Mosaic in the signet was made for me by Alicja Brewińska-Walaszczyk, who holds a master title in this technique, certified by an Italian mosaic school, and is the only workshop of its kind in Poland (luckily for me, it is located in Łódź, in the Księży Młyn district).
